CHPO x Skateistan #3

When Skateistan began in 2008, it was no more than a few girls on skateboards in Kabul, Afghanistan and a dream of Australian Founder, Oliver Percovich. 10 years later and it has grown into an award-winning organization with four Skate Schools in Afghanistan, Cambodia and South Africa empowering over 2,000 active students, 50% of which are girls. Skateistan’s programs, which center around skateboarding, education and community engagement, are available free of charge to children aged 5-17 from all economic, ethnic and religious backgrounds and specifically focus on girls, children living with disabilities and low-income youth.
